Clear standards before recommendations
PetJovial is built to help pet owners understand insurance and veterinary costs without pretending that one policy, company or price fits everyone. Our editorial system separates factual research, interpretation and commercial relationships.
Research first
Concrete policy facts are checked against current primary sources whenever possible, including insurer documents, official help centers, policy forms, regulator material and veterinary sources.
No pay-to-rank
Affiliate compensation does not purchase a positive review, a guaranteed ranking or a universal “best” label. Commercial relationships are disclosed separately from editorial conclusions.
Correct the record
Insurance products and prices change. When a material fact is wrong or outdated, our goal is to correct it, re-check the surrounding analysis and update the verification date when appropriate.
What readers should expect
Plain-English explanations. We define terms before relying on them.
Policy-specific caveats. State, product version and enrollment details can change the answer.
Decision support, not universal winners. Comparisons focus on tradeoffs and what a reader should verify in a quote or policy.
Source transparency. Time-sensitive insurer claims should be traceable to current official material.
Verifiable authorship. Named credentials appear only when they can be documented, and hands-on testing is described only when it actually occurred.
